‘Uh’ is a short video that captures the ever-changing Vietnamese landscape of Ho Chi Minh City, centering the camera lens on the graffiti tag of an emerging youth culture that is trying to navigate the transience of urban life, creating new strategies for individual self expression. In this work, passersby stroll past the scrawled text of ‘Uh…’, where motorbikes whiz past in seeming nonchalance. Slowly we realize that what we are viewing is an imagined landscape inside the artist’s head. This work explores not only Vietnam's shifting cultural and physical landscape, but also questions the reality of change. Are the changes actual or simply perceived - fleeting visions of a potential future?

‘Uh’ là video ngắn ghi lại những cảnh quan luôn luôn thay đổi của Việt Nam tại Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, Ống kính tập trung vào ngay điểm giữa một hình vẽ grafitti, của văn hoá trẻ đang cố di chuyển theo sự nhất thời của cuộc sống đô thị, tạo ra những chiến lược để thể hiện bản thân mình. Trong tác phẩm này, khách qua đường lướt qua chữ ‘Uh’, nơi mà những chiếc xe máy lướt qua một cách thờ ơ. Dần dần chúng ta nhận ra rằng những gì mình đang nhìn thấy là những cảnh quan tưởng tượng trong đầu của người nghệ sĩ.
